I purchased a used 2008 Mercedes-Benz in January 2015, after my previous car was totaled in a car accident. My sales rep was great and the process of purchasing my vehicle went smoothly. Soon after I started experiencing issues with my new vehicle even though the CarFax reports had nothing alarming.
Within the last year of having my vehicle, I have had several issues related to my vehicle ranging from random warning lights to leaks in my brakes. It started with my gearshift just not moving.
Then after fixing that issue, they broke my sunroof and center console, which required me to go back. How does that go unnoticed after testing the vehicle? Then in October, I had yet another issue with a brake leak and at that point asked for a full diagnostic.
Which clearly didn't happen if you continue reading after this point. Then in January, my battery stopped working. So after only driving my car for 1 year I had to completely replace my battery.
Last week my tire pressure light came on and I assumed it was a minor issue and that I just needed some air. Especially considering I had recently gotten a repair at AutoNation. On Saturday, while on the road, my tire completely blew and was ruptured almost all the way around.
I refused to go back to AutoNation, considering the lack of care, follow up, and responsibility of selling me the car. I took the time to visit three separate tire/service repair shops. They all advised me that it was safe to purchase 4 new tires as the tread on all of them was 2 or below.
Please keep in mind a tire should be. Not only was I sold a car with worn down tires, I was never advised at my 5 or so appointments that my tires looked bad or were worn down.
So, with that, I was forced to spend 1,000 on new tires. Thankfully, AutoNation didn't get an additional 1,000 from.
Now this week, my coolant light came. I promise, this ISN'OKE. I called AutoNation and of course they can't do anything.trenzas
After finding another repair shop to look at my car again, they have notified me that I need a whole new fan assembly, which costs around 1,100. I called and because my car is o longer under warranty they simply just can't do anything and due diligence just means nothing.
